The Working Principle
An Air Slide consists of a rectangular chamber divided by a porous Aeration Fabric (Media). Low-pressure air is introduced into the lower chamber (the plenum), which permeates through the fabric. This air reduces the friction between material particles, "fluidizing" the powder so it flows like a liquid down a shallow decline (typically 4° to 10°).
