Biomass Separation & Pneumatic Conveying Systems : Integrated Solutions for Clean Fuel Transport

Fourteckh Enviro (India) Private Limited provides specialized Pneumatic Conveying and Separation Systems designed specifically for the biomass and renewable energy sectors. Our systems do more than just move material; they act as a primary cleaning stage, using air-density separation to remove "tramp" materials and heavy contaminants from your biomass feedstock. At Fourteckh Enviro, we understand that biomass is unpredictable. Our systems are designed with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) to allow real-time adjustments as your moisture content or material type changes. We combine our expertise in Air Pollution Control with Pneumatic Conveying to ensure that your biomass handling is not only efficient but also 100% dust-free and environmentally compliant.

The Engineering Principle: Aerodynamic Classification

Biomass materials are characterized by low bulk density. In our Lean Phase Pneumatic systems, the biomass is entrained in a high-velocity airstream. As the mixture passes through a Fourteckh De-Stoner or Cyclone separator, Air Classifier, the air velocity is precisely controlled:

  • Light Fraction (Clean Biomass) : Remains suspended and is conveyed to the storage silo or boiler.
  • Heavy Fraction (Contaminants) : Stones, glass, sand, and metal pieces drop out of the airstream due to their higher terminal velocity and are collected for disposal.

Key System Features :

  • High-Volume Air Handling : Equipped with heavy-duty centrifugal fans designed to handle the high Cfm requirements of fibrous biomass.
  • Anti-Plugging Feeders : We utilize specialized Fourteckh Rotary Valves with "V-shaped" rotors or shearing edges to prevent long fibres (like straw or bagasse) from jamming the inlet.
  • Adjustable Separation Zones : Our classifiers allow operators to fine-tune the "cut point," ensuring maximum recovery of burnable fuel while eliminating over 98% of heavy impurities.
  • Explosion Protection : Given the combustible nature of biomass dust, our systems can be equipped with spark detection, explosion venting, and rotary valve flame isolation.
  • Wear-Resistant Cyclones : High-efficiency cyclones capture the cleaned biomass, featuring reinforced impact zones to handle the abrasive nature of certain husks and shells.

Targeted Biomass Applications :

Our systems are engineered to handle a wide variety of "Green Fuel" sources:

  • Agricultural Residue : Rice Husk, Straw, Corn Cobs, and Nut Shells.
  • Wood Waste : Sawdust, Wood Chips, and Bark.
  • Industrial By-products : Bagasse (Sugarcane waste), Paper sludge, and RDF (Refuse Derived Fuel).

  • Boiler Protection : By removing sand and stones, our separation systems significantly reduce "clinkering" in boilers and wear on furnace refractories.
  • Improved Calorific Value : Cleaned biomass burns more efficiently, providing more energy per ton of fuel.
  • Flexible Routing : Pipelines can be routed over roads, through buildings, or vertically to feed high-level silos, replacing bulky and maintenance-heavy belt conveyors.
  • All-in-One Process : Transporting, drying (incidental), and cleaning occur in a single automated step.
