Strategic Application :
Double Cone Valve is specifically designed for applications where material abrasiveness would cause premature wear on a rotor. By utilizing a "Double-Door" sequential opening mechanism, it acts as a true airlock—allowing material to pass through while preventing the escape of process air or gas. Our design eliminates the common issue of "material bridging" or sticking. The steep conical geometry ensures that even cohesive powders slide freely, while the robust shaft mechanism is built to handle thousands of cycles with minimal maintenance. With Ni Hard cones it is suitable for very material abrasiveness and high temperature such as sinter plants, ESP Hoppers, Baghouse Hoppers, where the dust collection chambers are under negative pressures. The DCV can handle high abrasive, dusty, grainy, pallet materials, like sinter, sponge iron, fly ash, lime, mineral grains, crushed ore, cement, clinker, gypsum, sugar, plastics, food grade items etc.
Key Technical Features :
- Abrasive Resistance : The seating surfaces are designed to minimize friction. Since the cones move vertically (lifting/seating) rather than rotating, there is no grinding of material between the seal and the housing. With Ni Hard Cones, Spouts of Rockhard/ Hardox grade our DCVs offer very high resistance to wear.
- Dual-Stage Sealing : Features two independent cone-shaped plugs that operate in a timed sequence to ensure at least one seal is closed at all times.
- Actuation Versatility : Available with Pneumatic Cylinders for rapid cycling or Motorized/Counterweight arrangements for controlled discharge.
- Precision Sealing Rings : Equipped with high-grade elastomeric or metal-to-metal seats to handle varying temperatures and chemical profiles.
- Volumetric Feed Control : Ideal for dosing and batching, providing precise regulation of flow rates for powders, granules, and pellets.

Operational Principle : The Cyclic Seal
The Double Cone Valve operates through a coordinated sequence that maintains a constant pressure barrier:
- Stage 1 (Upper Seal Open) : The top cone retracts, allowing material to fill the intermediate chamber while the bottom cone remains tightly sealed.
- Stage 2 (Interim Close) : Both cones are closed, isolating the material within the valve body.
- Stage 3 (Lower Seal Open) : The bottom cone retracts, discharging the material into the next phase of the process while the top cone prevents air/pressure leakage from above.
- Stage 4 (Reset) : The lower cone reseals, and the cycle repeats.
